LEARN TO SPEAK WITH CONVICTION
RDI is proud to host its 6th annual summer camp! Our annual 1-week programs introduce students to competitive speech and debate. Our camp is organized to hone student’s craft of language, research, and public speaking.

Our full-day camp gives students ages 10+ the opportunity to develop their cases and compete in final debate tournament at the end of the camp week.
RDI's 2023 Camp will be held at the VCU School of Business on Monday (July 31st) to Friday (August 4th), from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

DISCUSS THOUGHT PROVOKING TOPICS
Students will write, present, and respond to both sides of the debate topic, guided by our expert team of mentors and debate teachers. Topics related to history, governance, and social issues inspire students to engage in research, questioning, and discussion. Develop your voice and reason, this summer at RDI.
Past debate topics include:
-
Resolved: The United States Federal Government should substantially increase its investment in high-speed rail
-
Resolved: Justice requires open borders for human migration.
-
Resolved: In the United States, right-to-work laws do more harm than good.
